Introducing NCD’s Long Range One Channel Industrial IoT Wireless 4-20mA Current Loop Receiver, a robust solution designed for industrial applications. With a range of up to 2 miles using a wireless mesh networking architecture, this device features a high-resolution 1-channel 16-bit ADC that samples 4-20mA analog inputs at user-defined intervals and transmits data to remote modems and gateways. Between samples, the device enters ultra-low power sleep mode to conserve energy.
An additional feature detects changes in current every 7 seconds (user configurable) and sends ADC samples if the current variation exceeds 10% (also user configurable). Both functions operate simultaneously, making this device versatile for multiple application areas.
This device includes an onboard 16V buck boost power supply, eliminating the need for an external power source. The power supply is capable of powering external 4-20mA sensors. Designed for compatibility with any 2-wire 4-20mA sensor or device, this receiver efficiently converts them into wireless nodes.
Powered by just 4 AA batteries, the device supports up to 500,000 wireless transmissions, offering a battery life of approximately 10 years (depending on environmental conditions and data transmission intervals). For additional flexibility, it also supports an external power supply ranging from 6 to 32VDC.
