IoT Long Range Wireless AC Voltage Monitor Sensor
Introducing NCD’s Long Range IoT Wireless AC Voltage Monitor Sensor, boasting up to a 2 Mile range using a wireless mesh networking architecture. It works together with a 120VAC transformer (used as a sensor) and samples voltage at high data rates, calculating the RMS voltage value. This process is repeated at user-defined intervals while sleeping between samples to minimize power consumption.
This product features user-defined detection of voltage changes at specific time intervals, sending data if the voltage change exceeds a user-defined percentage. This feature can be enabled or disabled by the user. To save power, the sensor sleeps during non-check intervals. Both features work in parallel, supporting multiple application areas in one package.
Powered by 2 AA batteries with an operational life of up to 500,000 transmissions, a 10-year battery life can be expected depending on conditions and transmission intervals. Optionally, the sensor may be externally powered.
The long range, accuracy, battery life, and security features of this sensor make it an affordable solution that meets industrial and consumer market demands. It is ideal for predictive maintenance or as a power failure detection device.
