Introducing ’s Long Range Industrial IoT Wireless Predictive Maintenance Sensor, boasting up to a 2 Mile range using a wireless mesh networking architecture. This IoT Wireless Predictive Maintenance Sensor consists of 4 of our most popular sensors in a single package to help control costs in most predictive maintenance applications. This sensor includes a Vibration Sensor, Thermocouple, 100 Amp AC Split Core Current Sensor, and Ambient Air Temperature Sensor. This IoT Wireless Predictive Maintenance Sensor Samples vibration, RMS current and temperature data and sends after a fixed user-designed interval over the wireless network. This device comes with a 1.25 meter long split core current sensor, 1 Meter Long Vibration Probe (which also measure air temperature) and 1 Meter Long thermocouple probe which makes installation easy.
3-Axis Vibration Sensor Characteristics — During Power-Up, this vibration sensor learns “normal” base-line vibration from the monitored device. This base-line vibration is subtracted from regular sampled vibration readings to improve relevant vibration data. Ideally, the monitored device should be off while the sensor is learning. Once the sensor stabilizes and starts sending data, the device/machinery being monitored can be powered on. This Industrial IoT wireless vibration sensor samples 3-axis of Vibration data for 500ms and then calculates RMS, Maximum, and Minimum vibration readings. This sensor combines these data with temperature data in a data packet, and transmits the result to modems and gateways within wireless range. Once transmission is complete, the vibration sensor goes back to sleep, thus minimizing power consumption.
Thermocouple Sensor Characteristics — Long Range Industrial IoT Wireless Predictive Maintenance Sensor is capable of measuring extreme high and low temperatures. This wireless thermocouple includes one 5SRTC-TT-K-24-36 K-Type thermocouple probe from Omega.com with a 1m, 24 AWG connection cable, rated for temperature measurement applications up to 260°C (500°F) with an accuracy of ±2.2°C. This wireless thermocouple device comes with K-Type connector, which can be used to connect higher temperature range thermocouple if needed. This sensor has in built hot and cold junction to provide highly accurate readings. This wireless IoT sensor is an ideal product for high temperature measurements, industrial boiler temperature measurements, liquid temperature measurement, and temperature monitoring of food storage units.
Powered by just 4 AA batteries and an operational lifetime of 500,000 wireless transmissions, a 10 years battery life can be expected depending on environmental conditions and the data transmission interval.
We take IoT security very seriously, which is why we encrypt every IoT sensor, gateway, modem, and device in the Enterprise product line. Encryption is much easier to manage than you might expect, as the encryption does not get in the way of using the device. We include a standard 128-Bit AES Encryption key with every device or we can help you integrate a new encryption key into all of your devices. All hardware devices must use the same encryption key. Once the keys are set, the hardware manages the rest for you, 100% in the background.
Wireless Range and Protocol
long-range wireless IoT sensors use the DigiMesh® protocol from Digi.com. DigiMesh® was designed by THE industrial leader in secure wireless communications for industrial applications. DigiMesh® automatically hops data from gateway to gateway until it arrives at the desired destination. IoT sensors are capable of a 2-Mile line-of-site communication distance with the included antennas and up to 28-mile range when using high-gain antennas.

Your data belongs to YOU and it’s up to you to decide where you want your IoT sensor data to arrive. Don’t be bogged down by the limitations of proprietary cloud solutions, post the data where you need it most. We offer an open communications protocol so you can integrate wireless transmitters into your own software. This allows integration of IoT sensors into any control system or gateway you could ever imagine. Send data to a PC, Mac, or Linux computer, or a Raspberry Pi using modems. Send data to popular cloud platforms such as Microsoft® Azure® IoT, Losant, and MQTT using Micro Gateways. We can also help get data from wireless IoT sensors to embedded platforms such as Arduino. We also offer sample code for Microsoft® Visual Studio, Node-RED, LabVIEW®, and Python. Our documentation fully breaks down the packet structure, so integration into other languages is possible. Note: To measure the low current (below 1.5 Amps) pass the wire through the sensor 5 times and divide the current readings by 5.
This device sends data periodically, based on user-preset timing intervals.
Sensor Data Overview
IoT Sensors send a lot more than just sensor data. For instance, a unique serial number is sent so you can always identify a particular sensor on the network. A Node ID is also included, which a single byte of data that you can use for anything, such as the floor of a building or to help identify which group a sensor belongs to. Also included in the data packet is a firmware version, battery level, and sensor type. This allows your software to positively identify and manage the health of IoT wireless sensors. While signal strength data is also available, it is handled in a different way, and is not included in the sensor data packet (but rest assured, signal strength data for each sensor is available).
