PyroEpsilon infra-red temperature sensor with 2:1 optics. -20~100°C temperature range. 4-20 mA output. Adjustable emissivity The PyroEpsilon series has compact, high-quality, low-cost sensors that measure the temperature of inaccessible or moving objects and materials. They measure temperatures from -20°C to 500°C, accurately and consistently, with an outstanding response time of 240 ms.
The sensors transmit the target temperature as an output of 4~20mA and offer a simple solution for most temperature measurement applications.
The emissivity parameter of the sensors can be adjusted from 0.2 to 1.0 to deal with the different materials of the targets and is controlled by an input of 4~20mA. This gives the opportunity to adjust the emissivity parameter automatically from a programmable logic controller (PLC). Alternatively, the emissivity can be manually configured using the optional PyroTune module. If the input of 4~20mA is left open or shorted, the default emissivity is set to 0.95.
All PyroEpsilon sensors are equipped with Germanium lenses for precision optics. The PE21 model has a 2: 1 lens which makes it ideal for most applications where the sensor can be mounted close to the lens. The PE151 model is designed for small or distant lenses and has an optical resolution of 15: 1. The PE301 model is designed for very small or distant targets and has an optical resolution of 30: 1. The PECF model is designed for lenses as small as a diameter of 5mm at a distance of 100mm from the sensor.
