The contactor provides a remote control by cable, primarily electric motors and compensation and heating systems. They protect instruments and equipment against overload currents by using thermal relays.

They require a very low current in their activation coil ~ 40mA, which allows a PLC with relay outputs (magnetic or solid state) to control large current loads (up to 20A) and with a single output to control the state of three phases .

The coil is activated with 110VAC. The contactors allow installation in Din Rail, which makes it easy to install.
