Low profile PCI card with Serial Interface RS-422, RS-485, male DB9 connector. The 7107 Low Profile PCI serial interface provides one serial port configurable for RS-422 or RS-485 and is capable of data rates to 921.6K bps. The 7107 utilizes an Oxford 16C950 UART to provide 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs, for maximum reliability in data intensive applications, and supports 9-bit protocols and isochronous mode.
The 7107 includes an onboard connector that routes power from the host internal supply through the DB-9M connector on pin 9. This allows easy connection of +5VDC or +12VDC to peripherals including RS-485 SeaI/O modules, RS-422 and RS-485 POS (Point of Sale) systems, or other real world devices.
The Sealevel SeaCOM software driver and utilities make installation and operation easy using Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems.
The optional RS-485 terminal block kit includes a TB34 terminal block that simplifies RS-422 and RS-485 field wiring. The TB34 terminal block adapter includes a DB9 female connector and five screw terminals.
The optional SeaI/O (Modbus RTU) Interface Kit provides everything necessary to get started with Sealevel SeaI/O RS-485 Modbus/RTU communications. Simply install the driver and 7107 in the host computer and attach +12V power from the host power supply to the onboard connector. Using the included adapter and cabling, you can easily connect SeaI/O M-series modules to the host computer. The interface kit includes:
DB112 DB9F to RJ45 modular adapter that provides RS-485 and power lines compatible with SeaI/O M-series modules. CA247 10' CAT5 patch cable for attaching SeaI/O modules to the host computer.
