The USB-2408 series is multifunction data acquisition modules for high-precision temperature and voltage measurements. Each device features up to 16 single-ended analog inputs or 8 differential inputs. Each device includes 8 digital I/O and 2 counter inputs. The USB-2408-2AO model additionally includes 2 analog outputs. They offer 24 bits of resolution for high accuracy in voltage or thermocouple measurements.
Analog Input: Includes 16 analog inputs (voltage only) or 8 differential inputs (Thermocouple or voltage) that can be configured for voltage input or thermocouple input on a per-channel basis. 8 selectable input voltage ranges are provided through software. You can configure these ranges for each channel from ±10V to ±0.078V. When measuring thermocouples, it is necessary to set the analog inputs to DIFF mode. All devices also include open thermocouple detection to correctly identify working thermocouples.
Sampling Frequency: Samples analog input channels at speeds of up to 1 kS/s.
Digital I/O: 8 channels of digital I/O, can be read or written to each individual bit.
Counters: Includes 2 counters of 32 bits. TTL level inputs can read/write speeds of up to 500 Hz and an input frequency of up to 1 MHz.
